Marine Fish World – a thriving independently owned business in the historic heart of the market town of Stony Stratford – was founded in 2017 by a keen, long-term fish-keeping hobbyist who admits that when his marine aquarium obsession became overwhelming, he decided to open a shop.
Initially Mark traded from a small barn, well-stocked with an eclectic mix of fishy paraphernalia, and when word spread business really took off.
It wasn’t long before the shop moved to its current home in Stony Stratford at 88 High Street, MK11 1AH, staffed by a keen team of fish fans.

Although we stock and sell a wide variety of aquarist gear and tanks, over the years we have developed a reputation for being specialists in the supply of reef rock and gorgeous corals, perfect for aquascaping to create spectacular reef ecosystems in your aquarium.
Most of our fish and coral are farmed in controlled environments. The effects of climate change have compromised the natural habitats of fish and corals, leading to bleaching and the destruction of colonies. We therefore frag (propagate) and grow a lot of our corals to help maintain global stocks.
In order to make sure that you don’t have to stint on your hobby – whether you’re a beginner or a veteran fish-keeper – we have linked our e-commerce store to a finance provider which allows you to pay in flexible instalments (if you qualify).
